Change is Coming

Today we are sitting watching NFL football and reminiscing about our Football team, the Seahawks. It’s been a few years since we haven’t been at a playoff game or had a game to watch during the playoffs. It’s great to be a good team but it takes constant work and effort and dynamic adjustments on many levels. Football is the ultimate team sport. The team has to work together as whole in order to win games and even more work to stay on top.

Football is dynamic in the game and even in-between seasons. Our team, the Seahawks, have seen so many changes. We’ve seen a lot stay the same as well. But if things that are dynamic and things that are static don’t groove together, you struggle. That is what happened this season. This is also what happens over time with relationships and families as well.

So many things are static but yet so many things are dynamic in life. It’s great if your loving the things that don’t change but if you are one who wants to embrace the dynamics of change and live with one who does not it can cause difficulty and struggle. The key is balance in life and football. There will always be change and there will always be things that stay the same. You cannot always affect them, be it to change or keep them the way you want.

We must, in order to be happy, embrace it all. Look for the things you love in every situation. Savor the passing moment as you are not guaranteed to have it again as much as you wish or want to or even try to keep it you will never get it back. It’s always good to remember what works, but realize you may not be able to duplicate it and that is okay. Change is really the only constant in life and change is not constant.

Acceptance, love, appreciation for the good is what we need to focus regardless of it’s what we think we want or need. Search for the good focus on the good enhance the good and put in hard work to affect change in the way you want it to go. If you don’t get the results you want, change is coming so don’t let it get you down!

Here’s to a better you, a better family, and a better football season, in 2018. It will take to perseverance to sustain and faith to change what needs to change.

Still Love My Hawks

Well, the Seahawks season ended once again in sadness. They had a good season. Not as good as recent seasons, but you can’t always be on top! It is hard to stay on top! I am a true fan! Nothing will waver my fandomness. Our team played well, they never gave up and they finished strong! It is always tough to watch a big comeback that comes up too short.. if they only had more timed or if that one guy didn’tmiss that block or the QB didn’t throw that ball that got intercepted… There is always something. Bottom line is, our team got out matched today in the 60 minutes that they played! I believe we could have won and I know we could have but they didn’t! So I guess we have to wait until next season to see them again!

Go Hawks!

Now, for my family it will be another Star Wars movie night! We are a bit somber here but we are working our way though the old movies and tonight we are on Episode 2. We are going in Machete order which is 4,5,2,3,6 we started with 4 & 5 then last night watched episode 1 so tonight is 2. I am loving these movie nights with the fam. Even with our teams loss we will still salvage a good night tonight!

He Missed It

Seahawk’s won the Wildcard Playoff game today on the road in Minnesota. They had a rough game in frigid temperatures (-6 at kick off)! Seahawk’s scored the only touchdown of the game. They won by 1 point after the Viking’s Kicker misses a field goal wide left.

The Hubs keeps saying “I feel bad for that guy” …maybe I am just selfish, but I don’t! I feel thankful that he missed. I am happy he  missed. Seahawk’s win and live to play another day!

Seahawk’s had a rough go, but in the end we scored more points and we won the game. Now we get to go on to the next game. We live tonight another day!

Never give up! Never ever stop believing or ad we say here in Seattle never stop B3lieving!

Play Offs Baby!!!!

one day at a timeToday was the last day of the regular season in the NFL! As you know I am a Seahawks fan and the Seahawks played pretty damn good today. They beat up on the 2 seed! The Seahawks, last week, played horrible! I don’t know what happened but today they were back to the team that has been rolling for the latter part of the season. Today, if the road to the playoffs goes through AZ I am pretty confident.

The Hub’s and I have tied our Fantasy Football League. We have a couples league and we tied for the championship…WTF?! Now what? Split the money. I can’t find anything in the rules to have a tie breaker. I like the idea of just splitting the money instead of making up a tie breaker at this point, Next year we’ll make a tie breaker rule for the Championship.

Play offs BABY!!!! The Seahawks are in the dance! They did well! If  they play like they did today, everyone else should be scared! Superbowl 50 here we come. One game at a time though, don’t get cocky or arrogant just play like you know how to play! Focus on what is in front of you. One play at a time one game at a time.

I am going to start 2016 with this advice! One step at a time, one piece at a time. Focus on what is in front of you and just do one thing at a time. Stay focused and don’t get overwhelmed you cant win the game in one play. You have to play the whole game one play at a time.

So for my fitness, organization, work and family goals take it one day at a time. Get your workout in today you have one chance for today no excuses just do it one day at a time!

It is game day folks! The last home game of the season! Unless it is an all Wildcard NFC Championship Game! There is a chance we could host an NFC Championship game for the third year in a row! Go Hawks!

Apparently it is snowing at home. We are, like ways, already in Seattle. We had a bit of a crazy night last night so we got up kind of late bit just in time for our normal 8:45 ferry! Pre-gaming it up, we are, here in Seattle? We have a few adults only nights and we will take advantage of that!

So Go Hawks! Get this win!

Feels Like Christmas Eve

Up till 5am last night. Now we are trying tobget the kids packed to go to Grandma’s for 5 days and get ready for a secret trip that they don’t know about for Christmas. We still need to pack, wrap Christmas presents that should be been do e already bit you know me… I am super tired.

We have a Seahawk’s game tomorrow. We will leave here early like at 7am which means get up at 5:30 or 6am! Drive around to the kids’ Great Grandparents then head to the game. Come back to grandparents out kids to bed at an early bedtime and then wake the up at 2am to tell them their surprise!

I am so excited I can hardly take it! I have almost blown it a few times today, the Hubs too! It has been a bit tough getting the kids to seriously pack. Their Grandma’s always have extra of everything…

I have so much to I don’t have time to write too much. I am surviving this evening on a Rockstar and shipping on a Sin-namon Roll Drink (Sinfire and Vanilla Cream Soda). We got invited to a party but will be staying home because we need to do as I stated above Clean Wrap and Pack. And have time to have sex because did I mention we are staying with the In-laws on our trip in their RV.

It feels slightly like Christmas Eve which is when we usually wrap gifts and clean. So Merry Christmas everyone! And to All a good night!

Fun Times and Needing to Plan!

What a fun day! Today was the tree lighting festival in our town! The Girl’s dance team always performs at it. Their studio is down on the Main Street through downtown and they have giant windows in the front studio. So they perform in their studio and we watch from the sidewalk outside. It’s like watching them in a snow globe. It is a fun performance! So we got to see her dance twice today!

The boy started winter baseball camp this morning too! He was very excited to get up early on a Saturday and go play baseball. He and I were going to do the Jingle Bell 5k but when he was going to baseball it was so rainy be decided he didn’t want to. Which I was glad because I had a late night and a rough morning!

We had the volunteer banquet for Pee Wee Football. It was a lot of fun. It got over at 11 and then we went to one of the coach’s house for an after party. They have a fire pit so we sat around the fire and told stories and laughed…. and drank…

It was a blast but like I said made waking up this morning a bit rough and I needed Alieve! I basically lost my motivation to go running not to mention I needed to clean the house as we are having people over for the game tomorrow. Seahawk’s Party!!!! I used the running time to nap! I know bad excuse but, I needed to take care of myself and not beat myself up about it! I did need some time to relax!

I will get back into running and do races again, soon! Just as soon as I get a handle on life. With work and kids and husband responsibilities it has been rough for me to get a handle on balance and house work and scheduling exercise healthy eating and sometimes even grocery shopping! I was feeling like I almost got a handle on how to be a stay at home mom/homemaker, but still didn’t have it.

And now, I am trying to figure out this whole working mom/homemaker thing and I have no fucking idea!!! I am trying I know I need to make better plans and schedules but when do I have time to plan out and schedule that planning time? One of these days I will get it… Or the kids will graduate or we will retire…it might take me that long!

I just got a breakfast casserole put it in the crock pot for tomorrow’s early game. Now I am going to go snuggle my husband and we have our ritual pregame sex to do and some more cleaning to do and he is sleeping through the F1 race on DVR that we were watching…. Oh well he needs a nap before we get it on!

The Last 2015 Pee Wee Saturday!

Happy Saturday! Today was a day of volunteering for Football stuff. It was gear check in today! A bittersweet day. An end to a fun season but a tough one! Now there is a lot more work to do but for some reason it seems that the gear is more organized than usual! This is my 3rd year as equipment manager so I am getting a better flow and feel for how things need to and can be done.

Next step is to recondition Helmets and inventory pants, shoulder pads, and helmets when they come back from reconditioning. I am planning a productive off season so I won’t have so much work leading up to hear check out that will be July 30, 2016. Lot’s of work but I am finally feeling like I kind of know what I am doing!

for now tonight is time to relax and unwind. We have a fundraiser that we are attending supporting a friend of a friend who is battling breast cancer. Our PeeWee team raised $145 during October to help support this local lady! If you feel so lead they have a Go Fund Me Account https://www.gofundmofcom/Hope4Melisa go support.

Have awesome Saturday! I think I will take advantage of a kid free house and be loud with the Hubs tonight! Looking forward to some ore Seahawk’s game love making!
