I forgot I haven’t posted yet, so it seems irrelevant but here is Sunday’s post… Unedited too…

Happy Superbowl Day! I am at a dance convention worth the Gurl there has been the same dance studio drama for the last few years and nothing changes. I am frustrated because I said at this time last year that I would go through this again. I had meeting with teachers and studio owners only for the same dance drama to happen again with no changes, actually something’s have gotten worse. If we left the studio last year for a new one we would be settled and established at a new location right now I feel stuck my girl went from being excited about this dance weekend saying, “maybe I will come back next year”, to “this is probably my last year here.” It sucks when you pay for a service and are let down by the said service providers. I really want them to come through but lack of professionalism and disregard for what we as “customers” are paying for is disappointing to say the least. Obviously there are a lot of emotions and subjectivity involved because it involves our children, but flat out lies and disregard for structure is what is so frustrating! Anyway, I don’t want my daughter to lose her love for dance because the people who are supposed to be guiding her are more concerned with their own lives than they are with their business, this is a business trip for them (and the dancers and their families), they seem to be treating it like a vacation.

Anyway today is the happiest day of the year!!!! It is Superbowl!!! I just have to say The Patriots are so fucking good. Annoyingly good! I have always hated the Patriots! The one time I had then in the Superbowl for a win is when they fucking lost! I hate how Tom Brady got the spot from Drew Bledsoe the year Drew was injured and I have hated him ever since. However, I can’t deny how good they have been! I won’t say best of all time because I can’t! I don’t think Tom Brady is Better than Peyton Manning I don’t even want to hear the number of rings argument. How many does Dan Marino have? He is still a Hall of Fame QB but I’m a hater!

I’m going to End this with #GoHawks I am Seahawks fan to the core.

Bummer I forgot a day!!, End of Season Sadness, Football, Friends, Fun, No Cell Phones, Party, Seahawks

Damn it!!! I go into living and being in the moment yesterday that I didn’t blog. I had planned on doing it between or maybe during the Boy’s football end of season party. Which almost was a disaster because the Mini Helmets that we give out (instead of trophies) were slow in shipping so they were not going to be delivered until Monday! I tracked them down and drove to DuPont, which is about an hour away, to get them. We set up the ‘trophy’ table with personalized cookies that I had made for everyone with the Helmets. It looked so cute and the party was a blast. Kids had fun coaches and parents bonded some more before departing for the off season! I love football season! Can’t wait for next year!

After the party we met up with some of our besties, and my phone died so even if I hadn’t “forgotten” I wouldn’t have been able to blog anyway! But you know it was nice to not have my phone or as the Hubs calls it my leash! I have been trying over the last year or so to not be so attached to my phone (except when I am blogging on the way to a Hawks game like today).

image

It is actually nice. Who cares what’s going on on Facebook or Twitter or in the News while you are spending quality time with friends! It is kind of annoying when you’re with your buddies and they have to check Facebook to see what everyone else is doing. A quick selfie post to social media is cool but why do we care what all your friends that you’re not hanging with are doing? When we are together let’s be together. Our group last night were good with this for the most part. Everyone has one in the group that gets attached to their phone and really we are all the one friend every now and then. When you notice you turn into that person leave your phone in the car or something to get you to check in with the real people you are with. (You can finish reading my blog first though!)

I love my friends. The best part about them is that we don’t see eachother as much as we used to but we still love each other and have as much fun as always even when we add a new person like yesterday! It was fun we danced and sang and bonded and plain just relaxed. Most phones stayed in pockets we didn’t even take selfies we just were together, laughed and enjoyed each others company!

Now today is Seahawks Day!!!

image

It’s a night game but the Hubs and I are going over early and going to enjoy the day together! It’s our day and since I’ve been working during away games we really like to take it in and enjoy the day with each other and no other responsibilities!

Enjoy your day Friends! Look up from your phone and enjoy life in the real world! You can catch up on Facebook later!

Still, even as our team is not doing the best and coming off a 2-4 start to the season, and back to back 4th quarter melt downs. I still have confidence in my team. It is early in the season still. No need to panic.

Feel free bandwagoners who can’t take it to jump or or exit now but this girl will always be a Seahawks fan and will always look at the good stuff they do.

I love football. I love the Seahawks. I love the time I get with my husband at games (especially since I have been working all the away games). I love what football has meant in my life and my relationship. It is all bigger than just a game. Football is a big part of my life and I will continue to cherish every moment, win or lose! I will always be a crazy screaming on defense, Jersey wearing, eternally representing Blue Friday and will forever have more Seahawks gear than shoes, Season ticket holding, early ferry riding kind of fan!

Sad for the loss but I am one oh so happy girl today because today was a football day!

Football, Marriage is hard work, relax and just have sex, Sex makes it easier

Today is Sunday, it was an away game for the Seahawks which means I had to work at the bar…boo! However it was a good day. The Boy was at a friends and so was The Girl, so The Hubs got to come watch it (sort of) with me. We were packed for both morning and afternoon games, We made pretty good tips, enough to make it worth while!

With the kids being gone last night we were able to wake up this morning and have morning sex before work always makes for a better day, right?! It is kind of a Seahawks tradition and the fact that the kids were gone was nice. The echo of orgasmic screams with the doors open and the house empty is great, isn’t it? TMI? We needed some good sex and this weekend, we got it! With our schedule so busy lately it has been tough keeping up the everyday schedule.

image

We have done pretty well with the whole “everyday” thing.  We have kind of relaxed the expectation of it. It has taken the stress and pressure off us when we do (or don’t) have sex. We do at least one of Sex Love and/or Washing Clothes everyday. Although not making the everyday mark with sex we are still averaging about 5-7 days most weeks. 4 has pretty much been the minimum. We tend to feel like missing more than one day is not only slacking but it feels like such a long time since we’ve actually had sex! I will report that our sex has been much better lately and less feeling like we “have” to. Taking the pressure off of ourselves to make every day sex, great sex really helped. Plus we are both stressed and just enjoy our sex more lately. Since sometimes that is the only intimate moments we get with each other or without something else distracting us.

This weekend was great for us! Some really good attitude adjustment type sex that we both needed. It really helps to take the pressure off the fact that the house is crazy, we have crazy busy schedule, and I worked all day Sunday, oh and our Football teams both lost this weekend! So yes, our sex was the highlight and not only because it was sex, it really was great sex!

We have our struggles and stresses and we still have our good sex! Gotta keep that in mind in the tough busy moments these days!

The Boy’s team played hard today in their “Pee Wee Cup” They scored the winning touchdown with 7 or so seconds to go and then it was called back by a phantom block in the back penalty. They lost by 1 point. They did such a great job! Our team were the underdogs in size and experience but not in heart. They played with a lot of heart, left it all on the field and we could not ask for more from this team!

WeEither win or learn can all learn lessons from the way these boys played today. Stepped it up and checked in, DID THEIR BEST. They played big, bigger than actually are (does this sound familiar?). If you could measure score with heart we would have 100 points! I could not be prouder of our team. The coaches were amazing today too. They even threw in a play for the boys that they have asked for that they saw on YouTube (it didn’t work, I wouldn’t suggest it to be used again, but the boys were so excited to be able to use it.) The coaches really called a good game! Our sidelines (parents) even got into the game. At one point the ref said he couldn’t hear the coach call a time out because our sidelines were so loud! (That’s how I like it!) All in all it was a fun game to watch. Our boys played well and the other team did too.

I am going to try to apply today’s lesson to my life. Put it all out there! Do what you know how to do to get your job done and do it right and do it well! We all know our assignments, be it deadlines at work, marketing our business or serving food or making drinks or cleaning our house, planning the weeks meals or scrubbing toilets, do your best. Do everything with all your heart! Sometimes the grind at work is hard and we don’t end the day getting a trophy so it is hard to feel accomplished. Sometimes, we just end up not winning, but as you lay your head down on your pillow at night we need to be able to say to our self I did everything I could to win, and learn from what you didn’t do right and prepare to do it right tomorrow. Everyday you either win or you learn. Take those lessons and tomorrow use your heart and do it with all your heart and build on those lessons and in the end you will win!

Football Mom Post! Love My Football Player and Coach

Today is Pee Wee Game Day! I love watching these boys play! I am especially proud of the Boy! Raising my favorite playerI love watching the Hubs Coach. I like it even more when they win but today the did not win. It was a good game though. When I step back and think of it, our team is so “green” with so many brand new players (13 or so, out of our current 20) we are staying in these games that we are not winning. The score today was 16-6, it was much closer than that score sounds. The other team scored only two touchdowns on the last two possessions they had. There was no score until the 4th quarter. Then we scored in response however we didn’t hit our kick for the extra 2 point (in pee weeks extra point kicks are worth 2 and running it in is worth 1) so that put the game at 6-8. We kicked off and they got it with less than 2 minutes left. They then scored again hit there 2 point extra point kick and left us enough time to run just a few plays on offense. I was so proud of my son. He is one of the smallest kids out there and goes out and hits as hard or harder than some of the big kids. Shshshshsh, don’t tell him he is one of the smallest kids, he doesn’t play small at all. He is really turning into a great football player!

Tomorrow we have another game! We play our Pee Wee Cup game. It is where the teams in our league go head to head for the “Pee Wee Cup”. I usually don’t care about this game at all, it means nothing really. But this year for some reason I want to win it bad. Our team has much less experience and 8 less players all together. I think the team we play may have as many returnees (or veteran players) as we have total players. Oh well, it is all about heart. You have heard me say it before. This team has heart, and when you have an under dog with a lot of heart against an experienced team, anything can happen! I can’t wait to watch it. I predict a good game and a fun one to watch! Totally looking forward to it!

So it is currently 10:21 on Saturday night. The Hub’s and I are sitting on the couch watching the Duck’s game. I am sipping on some grape vodka getting ready for a mellow night at home with my lover and prepping to have a busy day tomorrow. The in-laws are coming over. I am making Lasagna and a cheese cake for dinner after the game. Of course we have the game so it is a good night to stay home. I am going to go sit very close to the hubs and enjoy him maybe a sweet make out session leading to some heavy petting and grinding on each other then stripping our clothes off is in order for later. I like going out on a Saturday nights, but I also enjoy being home to have those kind of moments with the hubs! Love that guy! So you go and do the same. Enjoy your lover, start with a hug and then kiss …you know the kind that ends in sex!

Do Everything with Heart

#usafootball, Football, Heart, Pee Wee Football, USA Football

Today was what we call the Pee Wee cup. It is basically Interleague in our Pee Wee League. We have three teams at each division. In the Pee Wee Cup we play other teams at the same level as we are. We played the Gray team we are the Maroon team. We won 31-14. Our kids played really well. One kid, who happens to be the boy’s best buddy, scored 4 of our 5 he was on fire making tackles and really kicking ass today! The boy did really well too, he scored an extra point after one of the touchdowns. It was fun! It is always fun when you win.

Football heartI think you have to credit this win to the Coaches and the kids’ heart. The Hub’s is the head coach but he has another coach calling most of the plays, they did well. The Hub’s called the last play with just enough time to execute the play and score the touchdown. The boy running the ball, the boy’s other best buddy, crossed into the Endzone when the clock hit 0.0 seconds. The Hub’s is very good at calling a game. He’s mindful of the clock pays attention to detail and I just can’t say enough! I am glad that my son gets to have a coach that holds his players to a higher standard and who pays attention to detail and teaches the kids about how to play with heart not just what to do. He also is very good at teaching the kids respect. He respects them, yes he yells a bit but he doesn’t over do it! He also understands that yelling at a game is not a good idea. He understands if he teaches them well enough in practice that he won’t need to yell during a game and most mistakes during a game, yelling is not affective. I just think he is the best out there at this level. He also surrounds himself with good assistants, not that you get too much of a selection at this age. He is a good leader and I am glad he is getting a chance to impact these boys lives.

The Pee Wee cup is bragging rights around our league. It really means nothing. This year it happened earlier in the year which was good because last year we did it later in the year and our kids just did not play hard. They knew it meant nothing would not impact their playoffs or anything and last year there wasn’t even a trophy. We went to the Championship game they were more focused on playing the play off games and not the Pee Wee cup. Each year our teams are different and this year this teams heart is what will will them to win. This game was exactly that. What was really cool is players that have played on the Hub’s team before (they are now on the team up a level) came out to watch and helped with water and were ball boys on the side line. Our motto says “One Community” and that is what it is about. Older boys coming out to root on the younger and everyone being a team. It was a feel good day at The Pee Wee Cup tonight.

I hope that this feeling of community stays with these boys and they can support each other and be there for each other as they grow up. And I hope my team (The Hub’s team) keeps playing with as big heart as they have. This team has heart and that is so much more fun to watch. Sheer heart vs talent is so much more fun to watch! Do what ever you do with heart, it will out do talent on any given day! Live with your full heart put your passion into it and you will be amazed at what you can do when you do it with all your heart.

I Love Football!

Bartender life, Family, Football, I love football, Working Mom Woes, Yay for the return of NFL

It is Monday night. I am watching my first real NFL football of the weekend, well, it is the halftime show. I had to work yesterday during the Seahawks game and then the late game as well. Apparently the bar I work at is also the official Raiders bar locally. I may have posted in the middle of a little stressful family moment yesterday when I said “today sucked”. It really didn’t suck that much. The hubs and I had a bit of a stressful moment. Football is our thing! If you haven’t noticed. Our family is a bit of a fanatical family when it comes to football and Seahawks. The Hub’s and I met over football. He taught me the game over his scouting reports when he was in high school. Our Monday morning ritual was going over the scouting report for the week. He would tell me about who he was covering and what plays they were running (I had no idea what he was talking about, but over the years I have learned. It was sad that I didn’t get to celebrate the scores and to good moments and just the plain kick off! That happy smile the boyish excitement overcomes him! I love that  when I get to see that from him, it doesn’t happen very often! My husband is a very serious matter of fact kinda guy.

I'd rather be watching FootballSo after some intense moments of the Hub’s and I venting our frustration to each other once I got home we have decided to make a new ritual over football. The Hub’s and I will rematch the game when I get home. He may still watch it with buddies but we will rematch as if it was the first time complete with touchdown shots and our normal watching rituals. I hate not being with the hubs and family during the games, at least I still have the home games to go to! There was a moment last night that I thought that maybe this isn’t for me. Why do I have to be good at my job so they need me back? Maybe I don’t need this job if it has to be me working the games. I think we may be able to get through this. I know we can we just need to be on the same page. It is a huge sacrifice. I did not make a huge amount in tips, it was kind of a normal day amount for us to split by 3. I hope it will get better, apparently the late games are better because not as many people want to come out and drink at 10:00 in the morning.

So today my day got better and the Hub’s and I will be on the same page next game, and fans will come out to drink and eat and tip well! Regardless, I am happy that is it NFL season I love Football! Maybe by this time next year I won’t need to work so much and can enjoy it with he family again. I kind of wish my bar was a bar that would allow kids during the day and then turn into 21 and over at 9 or so. That way the hubs could bring in the kids watch the game with a crowd of people and we could still be together-ish….

But for now I will enjoy Monday Night Football as much as I can hopefully the Vikings beat the 49ers! Until the Hub’s gets here (he is working his night teaching apprentices gig) and then we will take a shot and cheers to football since we haven’t been together since NFL football started (Thursday we had football practice during the game). Seahawks had a sad loss yesterday but at least the Boy’s team won! Yay Wolfpack!
