New Years ResolutionsHappy 2018! I started this blog as a New Year’s Goal type thing in 2015. That year and this blog was where #Everyday2015 started. In 2013 I did #13in2013 where I did 13 races in 2013 I decided on that on New Years Eve 12/31/12 while participating in a half Marathon which is 13.1 miles the number 13 is significfant in my life, that’s another story. The point I am making is that in 2013 and 2015 at the end of the year I could look back and pat myself on the back and say “good job, you did it.” In 2016 I gave myself a break with the whole everyday thing and stopoped pressing so hard to blog everyday, I was trying to give myself some grace, my life kind of went in the wrong direction or in no direction it was not all bad, however. I had a rough end to 2016 then 2017 hasn’t been super awesome both of those years I had no goal no real direction except to “be better” “do my best” but nothing measurable so I decided this year to start over and give myself goals and now here I am writing them down. I am revisiting #everyday with sex and writing starting today. So let me just lay it out there what I am setting goals for.

First I am going to Sex Love and Washing Clothes every day! Everyday I will actually Wash Clothes, at least one load of laundry a day (massage sheets count!). I will be having sex with the Hubs everyday! We even had a bit of an argument the other day and I still followed through with that. So I need to schedule writing in everyday and include Hump Day Challenge every week on Wednesdays. I want to at least update how the goals are doing every day so you may end up with tallies on a template for some days I will work on that and get it prepped for Monday to be all in and ready.

Fitness wise, get back in to exercising regularly. I am going to start with a goal or running 50 miles per month. I also want to add in other exercise as well. I’d like to get in the gym 2-3 days per week and make a minimum of 100 days in the gym (or lifting weights, cycling swimming or something other than running if I decide to cancel the gym membership). Weight loss goals I am shooting for 1% loss per week until I hit my goal of 150 (which I think I am going to amend to 140). I am in weight loss challenges and just completed on that I lost 8.6% in 10 weeks I need to step it up a bit adding exercise and  continuing to follow my eating plan will help.

Family Goals. We are as a family having dinner together Saturday Night and doing a little meeting where we are all going to present our goals. Each family member was instructed to set some goals for the year be it remember to brush my teeth every night or do my homework with out being told or have no missing assignments at school etc. The kids have never done this so they may need some direction. The Hubs doesn’t really do this either. I am hoping that he will do it and as a family we can support each other in being healthier and living more intentionally. Have one family day a month to do something together. A whole day for a family outing something like go to Seattle and window shop, go to the Zoo, or for a drive to have a picinic or even just a local hike at a park. Just something that is with the family and for family not for dance or baseball or any other reason or agenda. Also to eat at least one meal a week around the table with no T.V. on.

Dry January no drinking in Jaunary actually I am extending it through Superbowl. Superbowl Sunday is the next drink I will have, if I decide to have one. Since the Seahawks are not in the Playoffs and there is a dance competition that weekend I may not even then but technically I could. I am considering giving up booze all together at some point in the future for now lets stick to January.

This  is going to sound weird and maybe bad/embarrassing but I have a goal to get in the shower and wash make up off my face! Sometimes on a weekend or a slow day after a few busy days staying in yoga pants or jammies all day is acceptable. If you’re a mom I am sure you can relate to the grind of dry shower shampooing your hair or grabbing a hat because there is no time or the extra 15 minutes in bed is worth it. I am going to make an effort to not do that for more than 2 days. Also Make my bed EVERYDAY and put my clothes away and not throw them on the floor!

So there you have it. My New Year’s Resolutions have been set even though I HATE the word resolutions. I hate the word resolutions because New Year’s Resolutions are meant to be broken so I just say goals or this is what I am going to do… I am working on a hashtag for the year but for now I will just hashtag each post with it’s own so this one will just be #Intentions

The kids are in bed, presents all wrapped and set up for them to find in the morning. The Hubs is sleeping next to me after a long fun filled day of Seahawks away game party and the Christmas Eve gathering we have at our house. Today was a beautiful day. Our team won! Go Hawks! We had some of our best friends with us for dinner, drinks, cookie decorating, and spending quality time together.

Growing up Christmas Eve in my house was very similar. My Dad’s tradition was to set up the Christmas Tree on Christmas Eve. We would have an open house friends would come by and out an ornament on the tree and eat food and spend time with us. It was at that event on this night in 1996 that The Hubs and shared our first kiss. Who knew we would end up here 21 years later. I would not change it for the world.

We have had many bumps and turns in the road of our life. This last year has been a really rough year and I fear some roughness in our future, but at the end of the day, I look at this man and all we have created together and count my blessings and remember why I am here. I love this man who is snoring next to me. He is, sometimes, really hard to live with and sometimes, I want to ring his neck but he is my soulmate. We clash in many things but those are the things that balance us. We a have busy chaotic life that adds stress but one day the kids will be grown and we will slow down and we will cherish these years the most.

My goal for 2018 is living in the moment more and really enjoying our kids. We spend a lot of money and a lot of time on them. Sometimes that distracts us from enjoying them. They are fun to watch don’t here thing. The girl is an amazing dancer. I want to appreciate her dance more especially since she is talking about not dancing after this year. The Boy plays 4 sports now. He added Basketball once Christmas break is over wrestling will start and booked ending those are Football and baseball. He is a good athlete he has a good attitude and really enjoys what he does. I want him to know it’s about playing hard and doing well but mostly it’s about having fun while you do it. Same worth The Girl it’s not about winning scholarships at competition it’s about having fun, putting yourself into the dance and let it move you.

Today I sit here in appreciation of my family. The Hubs takes really good care of this family with his work and providing for us. We are able this year to help my mom out and got her a car that should last her a while. It is a nicer car than she has and most of all SAFE! I feel pretty thankful that my husband will also take care of my mom like that. I like to be able to play Santa to my mom, I know she will appreciate it and I am thankful she will have a safe car to use when she is transporting my children around town. She does that a lot! It’s a way of paying her back for that.

I am just in awe of my family right now. The Hubs and I have had a really rough year but right now in this moment I feel joy and love and appreciation. I want to hold that feeling close to my heart and focus on that in 2018.

It Was a Perfect Day!

Today was our first day in Disneyland of our Christmas Vacation! We had so much fun! It did rain but hey, we are from Western Washington we are used to the rain! We rode Splash Mountain early and I took the front seat and proceeded tobget my pants soaked! They just got somewhat dry the pockets and seems are still damp! We we there from about 7:30a to 11:30p. We rode Star Tours, Space Mountain, The Matterhorn, Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones twice!

The longest wait was at the Matterhorn a total of 1 hour and that included about 15 minutes for a shut down for a quick repair. While there we spoke with the head Maintenance guy. He told us silly jokes and then after he gave us VIP access to skip the line for Peter Pan and then gave us a front the line pass for anything ride we wanted. It was so sweet what a nice guy he was, Thanks to Jeff!

We had a great day! Loved it all. The kids did awesome! They were well behaved enjoyed themselves, didn’t fight too much. The Hubs really was amazing too! I love it when we can just go with the flow and really be in the moment! Loved it!!!

One of the best Christmas’s ever!

We Have Arrived!!

We are at Disneyland!!!! We woke the kids up at 2am to get them ready to get on an airplane. They were still not sure they were really going we fibbed quite a lot recently to cover our surprise, which made the kids question our sincerity of our story that we were actually going to Disneyland. Today after we got to Cali, we went to Downtown Disney atr at ESPN Zone (YUM!) and watch the new Star Wars movie. I had a hard time not falling asleep during the movie, not because of the movie but just because of my lack of sleep lately. The movie was good.

Tomorrow we head into Disneyland the actual park! I am excited. I am trying push through the annoyance of being in close quarters with the in laws and the way our kids act with Gma around. Who’s kids are these anyway?! I am determined, despite that drama in my head, we will have fun. I just need to remind myself of the fact that it is not a competition for the children’s love… It is about fun and making memories!

It is time to stop and smell the roses…or stop and admire the sparkles and the decorations and the smells and memories! I have high hopes for this trip I need to just take it and enjoy whatever happens!

Just Chill, It’s Friday

Today is Friday! I don’t normally get too excited but this week has been rough and I am glad it’s over!

I have been busy and overwhelmed. Between the two jobs, house stuff, volunteering, my car being worked on…. You know, life! Today we got my car back! Yay!!!! I am so glad to MY car back. I’m kind of attached to that thing!

I had a busy work day (actually busy work week) and now I am sitting with the Hubs who also is taking on the “chill” attitude of a Friday! Which is good. Both of us have been stressed! I am happy to be able to sit and have a drink and chill on this Friday night with him! And to see him smile!

It is chill time! We have two Pee Wee Football games this weekend and the In-Laws are coming over Sunday for Lasagne after the Sunday game. It will be a fun family weekend. I plan to enjoy every second of not working and enjoy the family.

That’s what weekends are for, for all of us working moms, to enjoy our families. Today was my house cleaner day which means I don’t have a mess to look at or clean up (yet). Take time this weekend friends to enjoy your time off and enjoy your family!

I Love Football!

It is Monday night. I am watching my first real NFL football of the weekend, well, it is the halftime show. I had to work yesterday during the Seahawks game and then the late game as well. Apparently the bar I work at is also the official Raiders bar locally. I may have posted in the middle of a little stressful family moment yesterday when I said “today sucked”. It really didn’t suck that much. The hubs and I had a bit of a stressful moment. Football is our thing! If you haven’t noticed. Our family is a bit of a fanatical family when it comes to football and Seahawks. The Hub’s and I met over football. He taught me the game over his scouting reports when he was in high school. Our Monday morning ritual was going over the scouting report for the week. He would tell me about who he was covering and what plays they were running (I had no idea what he was talking about, but over the years I have learned. It was sad that I didn’t get to celebrate the scores and to good moments and just the plain kick off! That happy smile the boyish excitement overcomes him! I love that  when I get to see that from him, it doesn’t happen very often! My husband is a very serious matter of fact kinda guy.

I'd rather be watching FootballSo after some intense moments of the Hub’s and I venting our frustration to each other once I got home we have decided to make a new ritual over football. The Hub’s and I will rematch the game when I get home. He may still watch it with buddies but we will rematch as if it was the first time complete with touchdown shots and our normal watching rituals. I hate not being with the hubs and family during the games, at least I still have the home games to go to! There was a moment last night that I thought that maybe this isn’t for me. Why do I have to be good at my job so they need me back? Maybe I don’t need this job if it has to be me working the games. I think we may be able to get through this. I know we can we just need to be on the same page. It is a huge sacrifice. I did not make a huge amount in tips, it was kind of a normal day amount for us to split by 3. I hope it will get better, apparently the late games are better because not as many people want to come out and drink at 10:00 in the morning.

So today my day got better and the Hub’s and I will be on the same page next game, and fans will come out to drink and eat and tip well! Regardless, I am happy that is it NFL season I love Football! Maybe by this time next year I won’t need to work so much and can enjoy it with he family again. I kind of wish my bar was a bar that would allow kids during the day and then turn into 21 and over at 9 or so. That way the hubs could bring in the kids watch the game with a crowd of people and we could still be together-ish….

But for now I will enjoy Monday Night Football as much as I can hopefully the Vikings beat the 49ers! Until the Hub’s gets here (he is working his night teaching apprentices gig) and then we will take a shot and cheers to football since we haven’t been together since NFL football started (Thursday we had football practice during the game). Seahawks had a sad loss yesterday but at least the Boy’s team won! Yay Wolfpack!

PeeWee Football is Getting Real

First scrimmage or the Boy’s team was tonight. I am the equipment manager so  I missed it since I had to get Helmet Hardware Kits out to all the coaches. And I had to address issues of kids jerseys that “didn’t fit”. Apparently our team did a good job! All the jerseys that “didn’t fit” actually did fit. New rule folks do not proclaim a jersey as “not fitting” until the Equipment Manager says it doesn’t fit!!!! I felt so vindicated when I got those jerseys to fit!!! Realty, they questioned me and my team of gear fitting coaches? No parents you do not know better…

I am counting down until I see The Boys team on the field it has been a proud mamma week! First day of school yesterday first scrimmage today and then picture day for football and then Saturday is the first PeeWee Football game! I have to say I am so excited. Hey,…. Did I mention that my son, The Boy, got what they call “Wolf of the Week” award. He works so hard everyday and being a coaches son he is held to a higher standard than everyone else, even the other coaches kids.

I am super excited for this season and this year! But now it is time for me and the Hubs to play out yesterday’s himp day challenge!

Is Football Love or Washing Clothes?

So ns1vlcsm I left the house this morning to go to Seahawks Football training camp without my phone or a camera! The photo queen here had no camera! I made the Hub’s take one selfie of the two of us with his phone but promised that was the only one he would have to take. So I have nothing from practice today to post to my blog! Which bums me out a bit. I will see if I can search google for a good shot or maybe I will just have to post a random football photo. (How do you like this Vince Lombardi quote?)

Right now the Hubs and the Boy are in the backyard throwing the football around. The boy is in his full football gear, getting used to catching with his gear on. At football camp last week at the local high school he was catching passes pretty well, even intercepting throws. I feel like since All-Stars baseball he has really started to focus on being athletic. I am quite proud! It is so fun when you start to see the kids taking their sports seriously and trying to not only follow the coaches guidance but trying to get better! I think The Boy is right there doing just that! It is so fun to watch and I hope this year our team will be a blast. (It depends on the new kids and lots of other things.) I am ready for a lengthened by playoffs season but I just hope to have a team that kids and parents are out there to have fun, work hard and enjoy the game that I love so much! And that my husband puts so much love and time and effort into.

Today I got to watch my favorite pros back in action and tomorrow I get to watch my favorite Pee Wee and favorite Pee Wee coach! It is a great time of year for sure! As equipment manager I have a lot of work fitting kids in their gear, the kids who’s parents didn’t bring them to gear check out yesterday and those who signed up late! It is a lot of work but really a labor of love. I hope to have nice people who are patient and not to be sabotaged by the Executive board any more this year to get these kids outfitted well and safely!!!!

In the mean time I hope to have some time for the Hub’s and I to have some fun and couple time together in the midst of all of this work and volunteering and coaching and all! Sex Love and Washing clothes everyday!

Vacation Time Out

This is how this bartender travels! Yes, I brought enough lemons and limes for three friends, but who knows how many drinks I will want…I probably have more lemons and limes than Vodka!

I will grab some more vodka at home since we will be taking a timeout from vacation to take the Boy to football camp back home. A 2.5 hour drive each way for a 1.5 hour camp. Yes we are a crazy football family. Is this really news to anyone?

While we were home the girl went to her Gym class at dance and landed 9 aerials in a row! She could have gone longer but we were all ready to go to dinner! She has been working on it for a while and landed one orntwo last week but couldn’t repeat it… Well today she got it! 9 in a row!

We were here long enough for camp and gym and the went to dinner at our favorite restaurants in our town. I may have had enough wine to make me a little tipsy (2 glasses), enough to make me want to send the Hubs to get me more wine! But I won’t. We are watching the M’s game now and will send the kids to bed and tomorrow do some PeeWee things then take the Boy to his second and final day of camp and then head back to vacation at the Ocean!

Today was a great day before we left the Beach I had some Yoga on the beach the kids flew kites and drove RC cars. I got sunburned, the Hubs broke his RC car and fixed it…even though we spent a lot of the day driving we had a good vacation day!

Hoping to see LoMo hit a game winner right now …walked!!!! What?! Wild pitch!

This family is having fun even though we are at home and not in our trailer, I love vacation…even though we are at home we are all sitting together on the couch together, now waiting for Zunino to hit a walk off.  No one usually cares this much about baseball! It vacation back to the family! 

Zunino hits a base hit for the tie! Nice hit! We get extra innings!

The Ocean..my happy calming place

Those are my toes in the sand! Yes, that’s right my vacation is at the Ocean! I love hearing the waves watching the water roll in and the waves crash as the tide is coming in (or going out). I love watching The Boy run and dig for clams (even though they are out of season and I told him not to) I love seeing The Girl checking out the shells and things she finds in the sand. I love watching The Hubs playing in the water and waves just like a kids he is like me, calm around the ocean we both love the water. It is our happy place. I love looking out on the horizon and seeing just water and waves. Even on a cloudy gray day it is so calming and relaxing. I feel so close to God and so spiritual at the beach.

Not to mention the time with the family! We are camping here in our trailer. We eat together and even clean up after meals together. We play cribbage or cards we don’t do this stuff at home, we could but don’t! I just love our Ocean camping trip vacations! Away from all the bullshit of work and house and bills and life in general (at least for a bit).

Everyone needs a vacation like this, even if just for a weekend, we only have 5 days…actually 4. A vacation to be close to your family at a place you can close your eyes and feel your mind and body relaxing with every breath that you breathe in!
